A huge congratulations to our own Meredith Norfleet (MC '10) for becoming a Bryant Scholar! The Lester R. Bryant Scholarship Program at Mizzou is a Pre-Admission scholarship for those applying to medical school. The program is for students who went to a rural high school, and plan on continuing their careers in medicine in a rural community later in life. Students are selected in the summer between their freshman and sophomore year at MU, and after they complete a paper application they attend two interviews before being selected. It is a very competitive process, and about 8-10 students get selected every year. Because of her selection, Meredith is already admitted into the University of Missouri's School of Medicine following her undergraduate years without having to take the MCAT or interview for the school. Congratulations on this incredible achievement, Meredith! We couldn't be more proud of you!
